Hampton Barringer Luzak - Varied Background in Film and Philanthropy
A resident of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Hampton Barringer Luzak has had a varied career that began in the advertising realm. Her early experience included public and client relations positions with firms such as Bill Rodina’s Carlisle, Inc., and Eileen West. Hampton Luzak next accepted a position with MSNBC producing and presenting fashion segments as an on-air personality.
Ms. Luzak then shifted to working on independent feature films, and she took on a role as casting director with diverse film projects. Prominent among these was Chaperone, which was selected as American Film Institute “Best Short Film” and earned an American Academy Award/Student Academy Award nomination in the Directing category.
As motherhood became a priority in Ms. Luzak’s life, she redirected creative efforts toward projects involving the restoration and interior design of historical residences. In this, she drew on a wellspring of knowledge of American culture and history, which includes membership in the Society of Colonial Dames.
Active philanthropically, Hampton Barringer Luzak has rescued many dogs who were set to be euthanized over the years. She is a longtime contributor to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), and also supports The Wilderness Society.
